In 2010 he began working for the publisher Sergio Bonelli as an illustrator of the comic book hero Dylan Dog.
In 2007, he published a
monograph of erotic illustrations with Sal Quartuccio's
SQP Editions, for the United States
of America, entitled"Hard Candy."
He also participated in the group
exhibition in Lisbon, the "18th
Festival Banda International
Desenhada, ad Amadora" with
Tanino Liberatore, Milo Manara, and Serpieri.
In 2007, she published the portfolio "Stelle Stelline" with Mauro Paganelli's "Edizioni Di" (formerly Grifo Edizioni). The Stelle Stelline Portfolio draws inspiration from and reinterprets female characters from the Italian comics scene, such as Druuna by Serpirei, Legs by Natan Never, Valentina by Crepax, Marta by Lupo Alberto, Eva by Diabolik, Giovanna Casotto, and others. She later published other portfolios, such
as "Innocenza e Malizia," "Sogni Proibiti," and "Bad Girls." With the same
publisher, she also published two comic collections published in the
magazine Selen, plus an unpublished comic titled "Il Moralist." The titles
of the two volumes are: "Le Mie Lolita e Monelle"
From an almost grotesque style, he adapted to a much more realistic genre to better suit the character and the standards of Edizioni Bonelli.
He published a 24-page self-contained story titled "In Line with the Beyond" and a second titled "The Puppeteer," both published in shared albums with other comic book authors.
In 2016, he published his second album of erotic illustrations, "Spank!" with Edizioni SQP
by Sal Quartuccio. Published and unpublished drawings are collected to form a significant work. The book includes a short introduction by Fernando Caretta with photos by the author himself.
To describe the life of an erotic comic book artist, in 2018 he created sexy and ironic,
autobiographical videos, published on YouTube, titled "PAZZA ROUTINE," in which he emphasizes situations and dialogues to the point of making them almost grotesque. Fernando Caretta is the author, director, and actor of his videos, and is often
accompanied by new actresses such as Giorgina
Sparkling and Marica
Monaco who play
various roles related
to the theme.
In 2023 he collaborated on the creation of the jointly created comic book “Biella tra le Nuvole” for the trade fair of the same name.
In 2024 he published the third self-contained comic featuring the character Dylan Dog, 94 pages long, Edizioni Bonelli, the first complete album entitled “the conspiracy of the guilty”.
In 2024, he published his third monographic album of erotic illustrations, "SPANK! 2," for the United States, published by Sal Quartuccio's SQP publishing house. A short preface by Fernando Caretta opens the book, followed by preparatory pencil sketches and illustrations, again inspired by the turbulent sensuality of teenagers. Fernando Caretta's teenagers are not objects to be exhibited, but protagonists who impose an immature and therefore disarming sensuality in grotesque and hilarious sketches and situations.
In 2002, he published comics, including previously unpublished and illustrated works, in the erotic comics magazine Blue. He also made his official debut as an author of short photo essays and short photo stories, for which he is the author, screenwriter, photographer,
director, and in some cases even a serious actor. His
photographic works are inspired by his distinctive comic
style.
He participates in trade fairs such as the Tattoo Convention as a body painter and Lucca Comics and Milano Comics.
